Tomorrow is our final (we hope) home study visit. We are cleaning house right now I stopped to rest and start working on my autobiography that we are suppose to have for her tomorrow. I have to say, this time I am not nervous at all. We are doing cleaning like we would on the weekends not like we did the first time she came which is we clean like our Mother's are coming over. That is a totally different clean. It takes a couple of days, we dust every nook and cranny and scrub everything. Yes, I know, but who wants to be persecuted by his mother. My Mom is the worst and she'll do the white glove test on you in a nonchalant way and then say, "oh, would you guys like me to dust and clean while I'm here". I should say yes one of these days and have her Aunt Jemima rag ready for her hair, a bucket a brush and some old rags (and yes I CAN make that Aunt Jemima reference, HA).
This autobiography thing is a pain, I don't like it at all, it is a format you have to follow and of course it is very intrusive and no doubt could cause problems. One of the couples we had our adoption seminar with was suppose to go on the Books end of April Early May and they still have not because their home study is not complete. I think it is because the husband is from the UK and they must be waiting for info from there. That would bug me, being so close, SO CLOSE only to be halted. I really do not think we will have any issues, we don't have any skeletons in our closets my Dads dead so it cuts my part about him down a bit. I do have that one crazy estranged brother though. That is not going to look good at all. Especially since I have not talked to him since like 1997. He made some comment about wanting to kill Bobby and I just could not have that, told him to never call me again and not to even think about it ever. He's a heavy drinker, maybe if he stops I'll give it another chance, but not till them. When he drinks he's an asshole.
Oh well time to get back to work. Gotta clean the office and scrub these bamboo floors in our bedroom. GnB
